We are a FREE San Antonio user group that focuses on Rich Internet Application (RIA) development.
Our meetings are formatted a little different than most user groups. We are attempting to re-create the interactive experience of an online video tutorial with a live presenter. So, for you this means at the end of each meeting you will not only have executable code, but will have experienced the author’s logic and workflow in creating the application.
A variety of topics related to RIA development are to be discussed and we will be thrilled to have you come!
- First meeting will be Tuesday January 27, 2009 at 5:30 PM. Each successive meeting will be the third Tuesday of each month at 5:30 PM.
- This month’s topic will be an introduction into the language that Flash, Flex, and AIR are programmed in named ActionScript. Specifically, we will be discussing the nuances of the language (such as how the DisplayList handles graphics, what is managed by GarbageCollection, how to handle events, etc.).
